Privacy Policy
Inline with General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) that came into place on the 25th May 2018, it’s now required to have a policy in place. During your first lesson you will be asked to confirm you have read and understood Edd’s Driving School’s Privacy Agreement. If you have any questions at all, please ask me anytime.

How your personal information is used
New students are required to complete a basic personal information form so that we can contact you regarding your lessons, and verify your provisional driving license for insurance purposes. During lessons Edd may take notes of your learning goals, experience/ability and areas for improvement to tailor your learning experience. You can request this information at any time.
Additional to this, online visitors to our site may be asked to opt into ‘cookies’ to improve your visitor experience. Read more about cookies below.
Contact form
When visitors submit a contact form we collect the data shown in the contact form, and potentially also the visitors IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. This is controlled and protected by WordPress in order to deliver your query and contact information to Edd’s e-mail, and not accessible by Edds Driving School. Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

Who we share your data with
My privacy promise to you is that any identify data given, including; Name, Address (including any pick up and drop off locations), phone numbers, e-mail and driving license details will not be passed on to any unauthorised third parties, without prior permission from yourselves.
How long we retain your data
Visitors to our site are unable to post public comments or register an account, so website administrators are unable to see and edit your personal information. Your personal file is a paper document stored in a secure locked location, which is retained for up to 6 years before being destroyed confidentially.
What rights you have over your data
You can request to receive a copy of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
